The Tekken card is on the way
Namco Bandai has announced a cross-platform card battler Tekken Card Tournament, which, in accordance with current trends, will function within the free-to-play model.
After releasing it, the famous Japanese publisher decided to “play” on the popularity of his famous Tekken fighting game series and the current fashion for card battles. It is assumed that in the coming weeks the game will be released in versions for tablets, smartphones and in the form of a “browser”.
A little later this year, sets of real booster cards for her will appear in stores. These cards are equipped with QR codes, after scanning which their “copies” appear in digital “decks”, for example, adding new characters or providing upgrades to existing ones. The idea of using augmented reality (AR) technology for a kind of “relocation” of the game’s characters into the real world also seems curious.
