There are new versions of Slovoed dictionaries for iPhone/iPad/iPod touch and Android

The enhanced Slovoed search engine is now complemented by a new "full-text search" feature, which guarantees even more complete, detailed and instant translation.

MOSCOW – January 2012 — Paragon Software Group, a leading developer of multiplatform software, introduces a new search quality in updated versions of popular bilingual dictionaries Slovoed for iPhone/iPad/iPod touch and Android. iPhone 5 owners will now also be able to translate and learn languages with a fully compatible version of Slovoed dictionaries.

The updated Slovoed finds the desired word in seconds not only by the title of the dictionary entry, but also in translations and usage examples, analyzing the contents of all dictionary entries in their entirety. At the same time, the search is conducted in two language directions of the dictionary at once and does not require entering the initial form of the word. So, by entering the word taste, the user will see not only the corresponding dictionary entry, but also links to articles of the words discriminating, educated and others containing additional examples of phrases with the word taste. As a result, the translation is more complete and detailed.

Along with enhanced search, Slovoed technology expands the available word input methods, allowing you to write words by hand without using a keyboard on Android and iOS devices. This was made possible by the integration of Slovoed's proprietary PenReader handwriting recognition technology, which supports 30 languages.

Owners of Slovoed dictionaries for Android can now translate unfamiliar words from mail, browser and other applications. Using the context menu, you can send an unfamiliar word to Slovoed to search for a translation (only on Android OS 4.0 and above).

The currency and value converter built into the latest version of Slovoed for iPhone/iPad/iPod touch will be a particularly useful addition when traveling.

Among other useful features of the updated Slovoed:
• Instant search when you type a word.
• Search for words similar in spelling.
• Translation of words in any grammatical form.
• Search for words by replacing unknown letters with the characters “*” and “?”.
