RIM encourages developers

In 37.5 hours, developers have placed about 15 thousand applications for the upcoming BlackBerry 10 in the RIM app store.

It was not without encouragement. At the Port-a-Thon event last Friday, during which the acceptance of applications began, the Canadian company promised to pay $100 to each team of developers who successfully launched their application. Those who have successfully “committed” from two to five programs of programs are promised a PlayBook, and the authors of 5-10 applications will get “developer” versions of the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha device. In addition, the first ten developers of approved programs will be encouraged by a paid trip to the BlackBerry Jam Europe event, which will be held in Amsterdam in February.

The official launch of the app store for BlackBerry 10 is scheduled for January 30.
