Zynga has shut down four mobile games
As part of a strategy aimed at reducing costs, Zynga has closed several games, including four mobile ones.
Back in October, CEO Mark Pincus announced that support for 13 games will cease in the coming months, currently 11 projects have already been curtailed.
Among the latest losses are the “Facebook” PetVille and Mafia Wars 2 (both ceased functioning on December 30) and four mobile games removed from their respective app stores. These are Mafia Wars Shakedown, Forestville, World Scramble Challenge and Mojitomo.
Note that even after such a large-scale reduction in the assortment, Zynga has over 30 titles for various platforms in its arsenal (Facebook, Zynga.com , iOS, Android, Myspace).
