Apple is the king of the mountain in the USA
Apple is still the main smartphone manufacturer in the United States, but in Europe, the “apple” company is among the catching up, Kantar analysts write in their latest report.
According to their data, over the past 12 weeks, Apple’s share in the American smartphone market has reached a historic low of 53.3%. The iPhone 5 became the sales driver. Dominic Sunnebo, one of the directors of the analytical company, is sure that this is far from the limit. The share, in his opinion, will only rise during the Christmas holidays.
At the same time, Samsung remains the market leader in Europe. Korean devices account for 44% of sales. With 25.3%, Apple takes second place. The third place is shared by HTC, Sony and Nokia.
Sannebo comments on the “Finnish” topic as follows: “Despite the fact that sales of Windows devices in the United States leave much to be desired, they are offset by the growth of Nokia’s share in the British market, which is provided by low prices for the Lumia 800 and Lumia 610.”
