"Angry birds" are flying to the big screen

And again about Angry Birds. Rovio has announced its plans to shoot a full-length three-dimensional cartoon based on its cult series of games without five minutes. Work on the picture has not yet begun, but eminent producers have already been found for the future tape.

One of them was John Cohen, known for the cute cartoon “Despicable Me”. In addition, as vice president of Twentieth Century Fox Animation, he had a hand in the creation of the most popular franchise “Ice Age”.

David Maysel (Mikael Hed) acts as the executive producer of the future theatrical “Angry Birds”. He was chairman of the board of directors of Marvel Studios. Masel’s portfolio includes such projects as “Iron Man”, “Thor”, “The Incredible Hulk” and “The First Avenger”.

The release of the Angry Birds animated film is scheduled for the summer of 2016. Rovio takes over the financing of the project, as well as full creative control over it. It is already known that a third-party studio will draw a CG film, but which one is still in question.
