"Ghostbusters" will appear on mobile devices

Beeline Interactive, a division of Japanese Capcom, is developing a mobile f2p game in the Ghostbusters comedy universe.

The first game version of “Ghostbusters” was first released back in 1984, after which a brave team of fighters against paranormal troubles appeared on almost all gaming platforms – from Commodore 64 to Xbox 360 and PS3. Now it’s the turn of mobile devices.

It is still unclear exactly what the game will be. The developers talk about the social orientation of the project. But whether it will become a kind of farm, a strategy or a card game is now known only to Beeline and Capcom.

Beeline Interactive already has solid experience working with powerful IP. Her portfolio includes popular mobile games Snoopy Street Fair and one of the highest-grossing hits on iOS and Android – Smurfs Village. In particular, these projects provided good results for Capcom in the second half of its fiscal year (it ended for the company on September 30).

The release of mobile Ghostbusters is scheduled for early 2013.
