Animoca: Android 4.0 costs 31.4% of Americans
The most common Android version in the USA is Ice Cream Sandwich. Most American users of Android devices work with it. The second place is for Gingerbread.
During November, the publisher Animoca monitored the devices on which its games are installed. According to the results of the study, it turned out that in the States 46.1% of users of the platform have Android 4.0 and higher (in South Korea – 51.7%).
For comparison, in the world at the beginning of September, according to official Google data, the share of such devices was about 22.1%. The most popular system was Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with 57.7%.
At the end of November in America, according to Animoca figures, the share of “Gingerbread” is much less – 21.5%. Ice Cream Sandwich holds 31.4%, thus being the most popular version of Android. Another 14.7% is accounted for by Android 4.1 and Android 4.2.
