E-commerce doubled on Thanksgiving Day
Sales from smartphones last Thanksgiving, compared to the same day last year, jumped by 221%, and on Black Friday – by 128%, according to the commercial startup Branding Brand.
These days, not only sales have grown. On Thanksgiving Day, visits jumped by 103% compared to last year’s results, page views – by 133%, and the average cost of orders – by 19%. On Black Friday, the number of visits increased by 101%, page views – by 99%, and the average cost of orders – by 7.46%.
Branding Brand received data from 66 mobile sites made by the company for various retailers selling clothing, household goods and cosmetics.
Unfortunately, the company does not report how much the holiday results differ from the average day of the last month.
Insight Venture Partners, CrunchFund and Eastern Advisors recently invested $7.5 million in the Branding Brand startup.
