iPhone 5 display is a problem for developers
As reported by BGR with reference to the developers of CMA Megacorp, a new display defect has been found in the iPhone 5, which may be a serious problem for game developers.
It turned out that with frequent and sharp movement of the finger diagonally, the last iPhone freezes and stops responding to any touch. This defect has already been confirmed by the iMore resource. According to them, the defect is observed only in the iPhone 5 and iPod touch of the fifth generation, regardless of the OS version that is installed on the device.
It is logical to assume that the error is not in the software (which could be solved by a simple firmware update), but in the hardware. This, in particular, may be due to the fact that the sensors in the new products are built into the matrix, and are not located in a separate plate on top, as in previous generations.
And if these guesses are confirmed, then developers of dynamic mobile games (like Fruit Ninja) may have big problems. While it is difficult to achieve freezing in everyday work (who will just drag their finger across the screen), because of the active gameplay, the device will constantly hang. This will put, first of all, a negative imprint on the game itself.
Apple remains once again to tighten control over the release of devices, which will again lead to a delay in deliveries. And this is a big problem on the eve of the Christmas rush.
