Google has introduced Android 4.2
Last night, Google officially (albeit without an event) presented an updated version of the Android 4.2 operating system.
The presented version, like the previous one, is called Jelly Bean. Perhaps the fact is that the changes made are cosmetic in nature.
Actually, here they are:
1. Support for multiple accounts
Tablet owners will be able to create multiple accounts on the same device. Each gadget user will have their own settings, a set of applications, information about achievements in games, original widgets, wallpapers. Unfortunately, multi-user mode is not supported in smartphones.
2. Photo sphere
Developers in the new version of the OS have added the ability to make spherical panoramas and publish them on Google+ or Google Maps, thus creating their own version of Street View.
3. A new way of typing
Users can now enter text without taking their finger off the touch keyboard (a la Swype).
4. Connecting to TV
Users now have the opportunity to wirelessly stream video from the device to a high-definition TV, provided that Miracast technology is supported.
5. Widgets on the lock screen
In Android 4.2, widgets can be hung not only on desktops, but also on the lock screen.
We also added the Daydream function (a kind of screensaver for standby and idle mode) and pinch-to-zoom (for easy reading of mail).
Otherwise, Android 4.2 is almost a complete copy of 4.1. So, most likely, owners of new devices will not wait long for this update.
