The fourth generation iPad will be released in the middle of 2013
Apple has warned its suppliers to prepare for the release of the next generation of iPad tablets in the middle of next year.
This was informally reported to the DigiTimes portal, which has no better reputation, by employees of one of Apple’s Taiwanese partners.
According to their information, the size and aspect ratio of the fourth–generation iPad will be the same as that of the previous generations of the device – 4 to 3 and 9.7 inches, respectively. However, simpler components will be used in the manufacture of new gadgets.
Sources, trying to reveal what this could mean, talk about reducing the number of LEDs used. However, there is a remark right there that the New iPad has one “package” with LED elements, and in the fourth generation there are two of them. It turns out illogically.
The Taiwanese also confirm Apple’s plans to release an updated version of the New iPad, which will be equipped with a more powerful processor and a Lighting connector. According to the source, the announcement of this gadget should not be expected before the first quarter of 2013.
Recall that there is still a version that the updated version of the New iPad will be announced along with the iPad Mini, whose presentation, also according to unverified data, will take place on October 23.
Anyway, the release of an updated version of the device before the release, conditionally, iPad 4 is very doubtful. Apple, as a rule, does not update its mobile devices in the middle of their annual cycle. Most likely, if an updated version of the New iPad appears on the market, it will be released simultaneously with the fourth generation of devices.
The new iPad appeared on the shelves of the USA in March of this year. In three days, it sold 3 million devices. A total of 84 million Apple-branded tablets have been sold worldwide since the release of the first iPad in 2010.
