Managing in-game purchases

The Israeli startup Applicasa is working on a service that will allow mobile game developers to easily analyze the behavior of players and manage in-game purchases without bothering with the server part.

To get access to a convenient interface, it will be enough to embed the SDK into the game. According to the idea, virtual goods and IAPs can be added by simply dragging objects.

In addition, according to one of the founders, Tzvi Kopetz, the platform will provide an opportunity to analyze user behavior and choose who and what to offer.

“Virtual items are hard to sell if you don’t know who you’re selling them to,” he adds.

Applicasa will be able to track the behavior of players, allowing developers to segment the user base by parameters such as the total number of purchased goods, the number of levels completed, location, time spent on the game, the current balance of the virtual currency account, achievements, etc. (12 in total). With the help of the service, developers will also have the opportunity to arrange various promotions (for example, “three for the price of two”, “offer of the day”) and offer them to selected groups of users.

At the moment, the service is in the closed beta stage.
