Stan Lee took up the development of a mobile game

The author of the comic book “Spider-Man” is developing a mobile game about saving the Earth from an alien threat.

Pow Company! Entertainment together with the startup Moonshark announced the mobile game Verticus. It would seem to be ordinary news, if not for a small detail: Pow! heads Stan Lee, one of the authors of Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, the Avengers, as well as many other super-heroes. Moreover, Lee takes an active part in the development of the project, which, quite possibly, makes him one of the oldest developers of mobile games (Stan Lee is 89 years old).

The main character of the game is another hero, invented by a master. His name is Verticus.  The basis of the gameplay is free fall, during which the main character “deals” with enemies, and also collects coins necessary for further upgrade of his “armor” (outwardly, this case is very similar to the first mission in MDK2, in which Kurt hovers above the ground).

According to the developers, the project will be interesting for both casual and hardcore players. By the way, Stan Lee himself not only invented the main character, but is also the author of the script of the game, and besides, he is engaged in its voice acting.

The release of the iOS version of the game is scheduled for the fall of this year.
