Samsung sent 30 trucks with copper and nickel to Cupertino

Today, the network blew up the news that Samsung paid Apple $1.05 billion by sending 30 trucks to Cupertino, stuffed to the brim with five-cent coins.

At first, the company’s security decided that the trucks were parked in the wrong place, but a few minutes later, the Samsung executive director got through to Tim Cook, who said that in this way the company decided to settle with Apple.

Unfortunately, the news about such a witty act of the Korean leadership turned out to be nothing more than a duck. As International Business Times journalists explain, 21 billion coins – or 105 million kilograms of copper and nickel – are more nickels than are currently in circulation in the States. And where Samsung could get them is another question.

So, most likely, if Samsung pays Apple the sued billion, it will be done in a much more boring, ordinary way.
