Gamevil's revenue from foreign markets increased by 161%
Korean mobile game publisher Gamevil earned about $13.4 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2012, demonstrating a 55% increase compared to last year. At the same time, its net profit amounted to $5.2 million.
According to the company’s representatives, sales growth in foreign markets was particularly noticeable during this period, where revenue increased by 161%. As for the results of the half-year, the current turnover of $ 28 million is 96% higher than the amount earned in the same period last year.
Commenting on Gamevil’s quarterly report, its chief financial officer Yong Kuk noted that the number of users who downloaded smartphone games released by his company exceeded 150 million.
