$4 million to the winners of the contest from Samsung

Samsung Electronics invites developers of mobile games and applications to participate in the Samsung Smart App Challenge 2012 international competition. The prize fund of the contest is more than $4 million. This amount will be divided among the authors of the 80 best games and applications.

In addition, Samsung will provide strong marketing support when promoting these applications on the market. The top 60 will include the most popular apps in Samsung Apps (winners will be determined by the number of downloads) and 20 apps for Galaxy Note with support for the S Pen stylus.

“We expect that thanks to the impressive prize pool and a number of other attractive bonuses, this competition will spur the growth of the ecosystem for Samsung GALAXY Tab and GALAXY Note devices,” said Kang–hyun Kwon, senior vice president of the Media Solutions Center division. “The Samsung Smart App Challenge competition will significantly expand the choice of applications for these devices, providing users with additional opportunities for work and entertainment.”
