Learning to Draw Metro

On July 13-14, Moscow will host a summer school on the design of applications and icons for them for the Metro graphical environment used in Windows Phone and Windows 8 operating systems. 

Microsoft has a “hot season”: the release of the eighth version is just around the corner. So the company is now more active than ever. Only yesterday we wrote that at the end of July, the corporation is organizing a series of consultations on application development, and today it became known that a similar event will be held very soon, only dedicated to the design for the new Windows. 

The event is called Metro-school. On it, Microsoft promises to talk about the style of the Metro graphical environment: “everything from its basic foundations and key concepts to the design features of navigation and interface.”

The two-day event is focused mainly on mobile application designers. It will begin, so far presumably, next Friday in Gorky Park.
