Kindle Fire 2 will be released on August 7?
Information has appeared in the Chinese press about Amazon’s plans to release the second device in the Kindle Fire line this summer.
The other day, Google announced an innovative Nexus 7 without five minutes, the price of which starts at $199, that is, the same as Amazon asks for a Kindle Fire. With external similarity, the devices are very different in their filling. And the new product from Google, having a quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board, looks much more attractive than a competitor from Amazon.
But, as it became known today, Amazon does not intend to sit idly by and watch Google sell its new device by the millions. The first batch of Kindle Fire 2 will be shipped to stores as early as August 7 – Amazon has already ordered 2 million devices from the Chinese company Quanta for this period, according to journalists from China Times.
Kindle Fire 2, like the previous version of the device, will be seven-inch. The tablet will also have a metal frame around the screen, but the device itself will be made of plastic. LG makes screens for Amazon, and TPK touch panels.
