Google Nexus 7 will be released in July
On June 27, Google I/O starts, where the announcement of the tablet from the search company should take place, but, apparently, someone could not resist and leaked almost all the information about the expected novelty a couple of hours ago.
The new device – Google Nexus 7, according to the document that fell into the hands of journalists from Gizmodo Australia (the picture below is also from them), is a seven-inch tablet for two hundred dollars, made at the factories of ASUS.
However, the main news is that at such a modest price, the tablet is equipped with a 4-core Tegra3 processor from Nvidia, a 12-core GPU, an OS version updated to 4.1 and, attention, will appear on the shelves in July.
Specifications:
– 7-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels
– Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system
– 4-core Tegra 3 processor with a frequency of 1.3 Ghz
– 12-core graphics processor
– 1GB of RAM
– 8 GB or 16 GB of memory
– 1.2 megapixel front camera
– battery for 9 hours of operation
– Wi-Fi
– NFC with Google Wallet support
Of course, the news may well turn out to be a “duck”. Still, $199 for a device with 8 GB of memory, at first glance, seems too sweet a price for such a tablet. On the other hand, given the very modest camera, completely indecent amounts of hard memory and the lack of 3G, the device looks quite realistic, because it is immediately clear what exactly the manufacturers were saving on. But still, if the leak is confirmed, the Kindle Fire will face difficult times.
