Angry Birds has overtaken Mario in popularity
According to GameTrack monitoring, Angry Birds is the most popular game series in the UK, leaving Mario, Call of Duty and FIFA far behind.
The monster from Rovio in the first quarter of 2012 accounted for 10% of all gaming purchases on the other side of the English Channel. ISFE specialists told about this in their new study called GameTrack. So technically Angry Birds is much more popular in the UK franchises such as Mario, Call of Duty and FIFA.
The study also found that 37% of Britons aged 6 and older play games. Moreover, what is very curious, the most active gaming audience is children aged 6 to 10 years. So now it’s clear thanks to whom the birds are so popular.
