Another new game from Rovio

The other day, the Finnish studio, famous for games about angry birds, not only announced a new project under the Angry Birds brand, but also announced that it will be released on mobile platforms this summer – June 18. 

The game is called Angry Birds Heikki. She is, as journalists suggest, with phonearena.com , will differ from the usual “birds” only in the racing setting.

The project is named after the popular Finnish Formula 1 racer Heikki Kovalainen, who plays in the same Caterham team with Russian Vitaly Petrov. By the way, at the fifth stage of the World Championship, held the other day in Barcelona, Heikki took only 15th place.

The imminent release of the game became known thanks to the teaser site of the Angry Birds Heikki project. So far, it only has art, the launch date, a link to Kovalainen’s Internet page, as well as the ability to share the site on facebook, twitter and Google+. 

Rovio’s previous project, Angry Birds Space– was downloaded 50 million times in 35 days. Anyway, the market is actively developing, and with it the competition is growing, which, apparently, pushes the Finns to take active action. 

Recall that recently the studio announced another project – Amazing Alex, which was based on Casey’s Contraptions from Snappy Touch and Mystery Coconut. Prior to that, Rovio acquired the Futuremark gaming division.
