For reference, in recent years, the founders of miHoYo have regularly appeared on the list of China's wealthiest people, although previously, they were ranked much lower. In 2025, only one of them, Cai Haoyu, broke into the top 100, reaching 60th place.

Currently, Cai Haoyu is once again the wealthiest among miHoYo's founders. His wealth was estimated at 128 billion yuan (19.25 billion dollars), a 58% increase from the previous year, placing him at 33rd in the ranking. Following him, Liu Wei is in 76th place with a net worth of 70.5 billion yuan (10.6 billion dollars, +58%), and Luo Yuhao is 83rd with a fortune of 66.5 billion yuan (10 billion dollars, +56%).

Other representatives from the gaming industry in the top 100 richest people in China, according to Hurun Research Institute, include three more businessmen:

  • Tencent's CEO Pony Ma — fourth place with 346 billion yuan (52 billion dollars, -26%);
  • NetEase's CEO William Ding Lei — eighth place with 275 billion yuan (41.4 billion dollars, -14%);
  • Tencent co-founder Zhang Zhidong — 26th place with 140 billion yuan (21 billion dollars, -27%).

Notably, in the summer, Hurun Research Institute ranked miHoYo as the most valuable private gaming company in the world, with a valuation of 30 billion dollars. However, it should be noted that this ranking only included relatively young companies founded after 2000, and thus did not feature industry giants like Valve.
