"Lesta Games" is being encouraged to go public on the stock exchange

The developer of "World of Tanks" and "World of Warships" should consider going public, according to Indie GO Fund's managing partner, Vladimir Varenik. He expressed this opinion in an interview with RBC newspaper.

It is worth noting that this summer, the Moscow Exchange announced its desire to attract game developers and publishers to IPOs. Varenik believes that "Lesta Games" is more prepared for such a step than any other company.

"It's one of the most interesting issuers for the Moscow Exchange, and we will try to help convince them to go [public]," stated Varenik.

Previously, Indie GO Fund launched a specialized fund worth 5 billion rubles to invest in Russian game teams planning to debut on the stock market or sell themselves. According to Varenik, the fund is in talks with 25 companies, but plans to assist only five with their IPOs. The names of companies other than "Lesta Games" with which Indie GO Fund is negotiating have not been disclosed.

"Lesta Games" itself has not announced any plans to go public.

In mid-October, "Lesta Games" acquired a new owner. A group of companies, which had been under the control of Rosimushchestvo for more than a year, was sold to a consortium of private investors, JSC "Industrial Constructions." The transaction amount was not disclosed, but it is assumed to be in the tens of billions of rubles.
