Runic Forge, the publisher behind Hearth and Hamlet, has announced a rebranding to Pythia Games
Runic Forge, known for publishing Hearth and Hamlet, has transitioned its brand to Pythia Games.
Previously operating as a "data-driven indie marketing agency" in the UK, Rune is now dedicating its efforts solely to publishing.
This strategic shift follows the success of Phorust Studios' game, Hearth and Hamlet, a city-building game which debuted on Steam on August 19. It achieved sales of nearly 50,000 copies within a day and doubled that achievement by the end of its first week. To date, the game has accumulated over 1,800 reviews on Steam.
Prior to its release, the game attracted over 100,000 unique demo players and garnered more than 125,000 wishlist additions.
Pythia Games' initial lineup of new titles features "Carnholt," a roguelike deckbuilder by artist Maxime Minard, and "Dragon's Tear," an idle dungeon-crawler RPG from LilChill Games, drawing inspiration from classic JRPGs.
The company is eager to collaborate with additional indie developers.
"As we embark on this new adventure as a publisher, the entire team at Pythia Games is thrilled," remarked Aidan McGrath, founder and marketing director. "We're driven by a collective enthusiasm for discovering and promoting innovative indie games while supporting both small teams and individual developers."
