Colombia has entered the list of the 30 countries with the highest popularity of online gambling
In this respect, the country ranks third in South America, following Brazil and Chile.
According to DataReportal, 13.8% of internet users in the country over the age of 16 participate in online gambling monthly.
The market volume remains significant. The annual betting turnover in Colombia is estimated at $10.84–14.14 billion, with the number of active accounts exceeding 10.8 million. The largest market share is held by BetPlay — about 51%, with Wplay capturing another 14%.
Concurrently, the revenue of the gaming sector is rising. According to the regulator Coljuegos, from January to August 2026, the figure reached $306.96 million, marking a 39.38% increase compared to the same period the previous year.
The online betting segment contributed $148.57 million. Revenue growth in this area amounted to 84.24%. One of the factors driving this increase was the activity surrounding the 2026 World Cup.
