Pokémon Unite is set to go offline on March 23, 2027, as announced by The Pokémon Company. This multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, created by TiMi Studio Group, made its debut in 2021 on both Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms.

With the shutdown, access to the game and participation in battles will cease for all players. The Pokémon Company expressed heartfelt thanks to the players who have been part of the journey since it first launched on Nintendo Switch on July 21, 2021. To show appreciation, a special event will be held leading up to the end of service.

Effective from October 27, 2026, the purchase of Aeos gems—the in-game currency—has been halted. However, players can continue to use their existing Aeos gems until the game’s services conclude.

New subscriptions for Unite Club memberships and auto-renewals have been paused, though current members will maintain their benefits until their subscriptions run out.

A unique event is slated to begin on November 12, 2026, featuring a retrospective 'library' that allows players to revisit certain game records and content. Additionally, special Unite coins will be available as log-in rewards and through missions, which can be exchanged for items from previous events.

The game's service in Belgium and the Netherlands ended in November 2025, seemingly due to local regulations regarding loot boxes, though no formal explanation was provided. Pokémon Unite included a Prize Machine feature requiring in-game currency, purchased with real money, for cosmetic items.

Belgium has outlawed the sale of loot boxes under its gambling legislation, and in July 2023, the Dutch government initiated steps to prohibit them.
