Auroch Digital is undergoing a significant restructuring, affecting about 25% of its workforce. The company disclosed in a LinkedIn post that it initiated a redundancy consultation impacting approximately a quarter of its employees.

The message highlighted the studio's achievements over the past year, noting the successful releases of titles like "Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2" and "Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War!" However, despite these successes, the ongoing challenges in the market, which have affected many developers, have now impacted Auroch as well. The studio is reorganizing to navigate these uncertain industry conditions.

Auroch expressed pride in its team's accomplishments and regret for the current situation, acknowledging how difficult this period may be for its employees. The studio emphasized its commitment to supporting staff throughout the consultation process with care and respect, while seeking to mitigate the changes' effects. It also encouraged industry partners to consider offering opportunities to its affected staff members.

Based on information from its LinkedIn profile, Auroch Digital is located in Bristol and has between 51 to 200 employees. It joined Sumo Group following an $8.3 million acquisition in 2021.

Similarly, last week saw the announcement of job cuts at German firm Fishlabs, which affected its development and support departments. Additionally, Electronic Arts confirmed the closure of BioWare, known for the "Mass Effect" and "Dragon Age" series, marking the end of its 30-year operation.
