The upcoming 2026 edition of Gamescom Asia in collaboration with the Thailand Game Show has introduced four new pavilions, raising the total number to 20, representing markets across Asia, Europe, and North America.

The newly added pavilions are supported by Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy, Japan's JETRO, Malaysia's Digital Economy Corporation, and the US Embassy in Bangkok.

These newcomers join established pavilions from countries including Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain, and Thailand, which serves as the host nation.

South Korean representation includes six delegations organized by KOCCA and regional bodies from Busan, Daejeon, and Jeonnam. Additional delegations are anticipated from Japan, China, and Taiwan.

With exhibitors from 29 nations and regions, organizers describe this as the most internationally diverse event in its history. Felix Falk, managing director of Game, stated the event presents a compelling business opportunity, especially for the German gaming industry.

He added, "This platform bridges East and West in gaming, providing Asian developers immediate access to international stakeholders and offering Western studios a gateway to rapidly expanding markets."

Kittipong Prucksa-aroon, president of the Thai Games Association, emphasized the event's role in uniting the region's industry under one roof, alongside major global gaming influencers.

Prucksa-aroon highlighted Bangkok as the pivotal location for understanding the future trajectory of gaming in Southeast Asia, due to the gathering of developers, publishers, investors, and players.

The 2026 event is scheduled from October 29 to November 1 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC).

Confirmed exhibitors include Capcom, Bandai Namco, The Pokémon Company, as well as collaborations with Nintendo and PlayStation partners.

Other participants are 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo, among others.

The business section will be operational on October 29 and 30, catering exclusively to industry professionals and media and will feature a conference with over 80 speakers from 27 countries.

John Romero is set to deliver a keynote speech titled "Why We Still Make Games".
