"Lesta Games" has been sold; its new owner is JSC "Industrial Structures"

The gaming company "Lesta Games" is no longer owned by Rosimushchestvo. It announced its transition into the hands of a consortium of private investors from JSC "Industrial Structures".

"World of Warships"

The cost of the purchase for the consortium and the conditions under which it was carried out remain unknown.

The new owner of "Lesta Games" has assured that they will not change the leadership of the developer of "World of Tanks" and "World of Warships". The company's development strategy will also remain the same.

"We believe in the strategy and management of the company 'Lesta Games', supporting both its current approaches to the trilogy's development and plans to launch new projects. Starting this year, the company has implemented a process allowing any of its employees to present an idea for a new game — we fully support this initiative," reported JSC "Industrial Structures".

Notably, the consortium does not plan to limit itself to just acquiring "Lesta Games". It has expansive plans related to the Russian gaming industry as a whole. According to the investors, they intend to invest up to 10 billion rubles in domestic teams over the next three years — including through a venture fund. This fund will primarily invest in developers "with advanced expertise in current gaming niches".

Originally, "Lesta Games" was a subsidiary of the company Wargaming, but in 2022 it exited from its structure. For a long time, Malik Khatazhaev was listed as the owner of "Lesta Games", until in 2025 a Russian court found him guilty of creating an extremist organization with Wargaming's head Victor Kisly — following which "Lesta Games" came under state control.

Previously, the media speculated that former race car driver Nikita Mazepin and investment company "Dhamma" were candidates for purchasing "Lesta Games", but their assumptions did not materialize.
