According to GamesIndustry, citing a statement from Ubisoft, the fate of RedLynx has not been definitively decided. Currently, in accordance with Finnish law—where the studio is located—the company has only brought forward a proposal to discuss closing the team. If this proposal is supported, 52 people will lose their jobs.
It is reported that Ubisoft considered closing RedLynx after analyzing the studio's operations. At present, the studio is not working on any game and has nothing on the horizon.
Regarding Ubisoft Singapore, the company plans to lay off 70 employees—approximately one-fifth of its staff. According to Ubisoft, the restructuring in the Singapore studio aims to align the team’s size with long-term needs.
Despite the grim plans, Ubisoft stated that it appreciates the contributions of both studios to its business and promised to support the employees who are being laid off.
