The creators at Star Wars Zero Company have started returning to work after a mandatory leave
A month ago, it was reported that the studio Bit Reactor had put 80% of its staff on unpaid leave. Now its CEO, Greg Foertsch, announced the return of some employees.

“Asking team members to step away from work after we faced unforeseen business circumstances beyond our control, especially right before the release [of Star Wars Zero Company], was an incredibly tough decision. However, it was necessary to ultimately bring back as many people as possible,” said Foertsch.
The executive did not specify exactly how many people have returned to work. According to Game File, more than half of the employees who were there at the end of summer are now with Bit Reactor. Whether the studio will be able to gradually bring back the remaining developers is unclear.
It is believed that Bit Reactor sent employees on leave due to financial issues. In creating Star Wars Zero Company, they had to significantly cut costs, but even so, the studio ran out of money shortly before the game's release.
Ultimately, Star Wars Zero Company became a successful game. It debuted on August 27 and, according to analysts, sold one million copies within its first four weeks.
