Bit Reactor, the company behind Star Wars Zero Company, is in the process of reinstating employees who were furloughed prior to the game's launch.

CEO Greg Foertsch revealed on Bluesky that the firm began re-employing team members this week, although the exact number of returning employees was not disclosed.

Foertsch characterized the decision to furlough staff as "incredibly difficult," attributing it to unforeseen business challenges beyond the company's control. The aim was to eventually reintegrate as many employees as feasible.

A source informed Game File that over half of the previously furloughed workforce has resumed their roles, while others remain on leave. According to Game File, affected employees retained their job titles but were deprived of both wages and benefits during the furlough.

Prior to the game's release, a large part of the workforce was furloughed, a decision based on uncertainty around the launch's success. At that time, sources indicated to Game File that approximately 80% of the workforce was impacted, leaving only a minimal team to manage any issues post-launch.
