Bungie co-founder Jason Jones has opened a studio called Stone Kite
While some studios are closing down, others are just beginning their operations. Veteran and Bungie co-founder Jason Jones has officially introduced a company called Stone Kite.
Joining him as co-founders of Stone Kite is author Margaret Stohl, known for her book series "Caster Chronicles." It's worth mentioning that Stohl has also worked in the gaming industry in the past. For instance, she contributed to the scripts of several Destiny 2 expansions and served as creative director for the now-defunct 7 Studios.
Stone Kite aims to create "fully realized worlds" across various media formats, from comics to podcasts. Whether they will develop games alongside these ventures is unclear, but it's not ruled out. The studio claims it wants its transmedia projects to have as many entry points as possible.
Stone Kite's debut project is One Zero One—a science fiction franchise, within which a comic has already begun release. The franchise's storyline centers on humanity's struggle against an army of AI-controlled robots.
Over 200 specialists from the fields of gaming, cinema, television, and literature have already been enlisted to work on Stone Kite's projects.
