Ubisoft's second "creative home" has been named Massive Entertainment
At the beginning of the year, Ubisoft officially introduced a new company structure divided into five subdivisions, known as "creative houses.” Until now, only one of these had a full name (Vantage Studios), while the others were simply referred to by numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5.
The Division 2
Now Ubisoft announced that "creative house #2" has been named Massive Entertainment, the same as the Swedish studio Massive Entertainment within it. However, the company has not specified whether it plans to rename the studio itself to avoid potential confusion. But apparently, it does not. It is possible that this brand will simply extend to all teams in the subdivision, including Ubisoft Toronto and Ubisoft Paris, besides Massive Entertainment.
The newly named subdivision will focus on developing the franchises The Division, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell, as well as working on new original projects like March of Giants.
The head of Massive Entertainment is Christoph Hartmann, the former leader of Amazon Game Studios and co-founder of 2K Games, who joined Ubisoft in July 2026.
It is still unknown when the remaining numbered "creative houses" of Ubisoft will be named.
