GG Studio, with a monthly burn rate of $13,000, is seeking an investor and strategic partner

New content in the "Investor/Publisher Wanted" section. Today we share about the GG Studio team, which is working on two projects simultaneously. They have not been officially announced, so this time there are almost no screenshots.

Konstantin Mikushin, producer and game director of GG Studio, shares about the studio.

About the Team

GG Studio is an experienced team with over seven years in the gaming industry. We've managed to create and launch three projects from scratch: Maritime Calling, Hidden Pass, and Cheat Death.

Maritime Calling

Hidden Pass

Cheat Death

The latest was completed recently, and we worked on it with the publisher Polden Publishing.

Apart from developing our own projects, our team has also participated in full-cycle outsourcing up to the finished result (i.e., all types of work — concepts, design, modeling, programming). At this stage, we have about 10 people working, and we have enough internal resources for seamless development. However, we believe we are ready to scale, which is why we are looking for new resources. Geographically, we are located in different countries — Russia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Germany. But we aim to consolidate in one or two locations.

About the Projects

We currently have two projects in development — both unannounced.

The first has already found a publisher, and we will conduct a marketing test with them. By the end of October, if everything goes well, a contract will be signed.

The second project has a very strong idea and concept. We have a prototype and visual drafts ready. We plan a nine-month development cycle.

The development of both projects is ongoing on Unity.

About the Gameplay/Mechanics of the Projects

The first project is an incremental game with a very chill atmosphere. 3D graphics, beautiful VFX, and original 2D art are the game's strong points. Humor can also be considered a key feature.

We are ready to discuss the second project during personal communication and/or a meeting. The only hint I'll give is a list of references to give an idea of the game's domain: ReStory, Hozy, A Game About Digging A Hole. The project incorporates Steam tags like cozy, relaxing, casual, simulation, and exploration.

About the Target Audience of the Projects

First: Fortune Mill, Rock Bottom, Master Healer Kale.

Second (as mentioned above): ReStory, Hozy, A Game About Digging A Hole.

About the Business Model of the Projects

Both games are geared towards relaxation, creativity, and art. Thus, they are premium single-player projects. The plan for the first game is 40-80 thousand copies at a reasonably low price (up to $5). It's too early to predict sales for the second, but there is potential for explosive growth, which I estimate as highly probable.

Whom We Are Looking For

Primarily, we are looking for a strategic partner who is willing to invest in the studio and help us reach the next level. We have long wanted to move away from outsourcing and concentrate solely on developing our own projects. We have a strong core team of developers and an understanding of the promotion process. Based on this, we wish to expand the team and establish a small marketing department. We understand that creating larger games needs to be earned, and we are ready to demonstrate that we can step by step produce higher quality and larger-scale projects, thereby showing more attractive financial results.

We are open to discussing and negotiating terms. We approach development quite flexibly and know how to manage things economically. Monthly expenses for one project (with a team of 4-5 specialists plus outsourcing) are around $10,000-13,000. Developer salaries are at an adequate level, commensurate with their expertise and market conditions.
