The Moscow video game cluster brought a record number of Russian games to the Tokyo Game Show

The Tokyo Game Show is taking place in Japan from September 17th to 21st. Just like last year, its visitors can explore Russian-developed innovations: the Moscow Game Hub booth showcases 29 projects from 12 companies.

According to representatives of the cluster, the lineup was curated to match the preferences of Japanese gamers while incorporating Russian flair. For example, some projects are set against the backdrop of Slavic and Russian folklore.

The showcased projects include:

• the souls-like adventure PIO: A Robot’s Story;
• the ballet action game TSAREVNA. Age of Tales;
• the horror game FIRE AND ASHES, which reacts to how the user breathes into the microphone;
• the survival shooter The Black Ice about the abandoned Antarctic station "Vostok";
• the anomaly-hunting game Cauldron Inn.

The participation of Russian developers in the Tokyo Game Show is organized under the "Moscow Video Game Export" program. This is the third business mission this year, and since 2025, Russian video games have been showcased in 11 countries. The total value of export contracts signed by developers last year exceeded 1 billion rubles.
