Media: Microsoft wants to sell Hollywood a package of a dozen gaming IPs for adaptation into films
The corporation is allegedly asking for more than $300 million for it.

As reported by Puck, citing sources, the package includes World of Warcraft, Halo, The Elder Scrolls, Diablo, and many other popular franchises. Whether Microsoft has specific ideas for adaptations or is simply interested in the potential to create a movie, series, or something else in the future is unknown.
It is claimed that Microsoft is already in talks with several potential partners. Among them are Paramount, Universal Pictures, and Netflix. Ultimately, it plans to reach an agreement with only one of them to avoid breaking the IP package into separate components.
If Puck’s information is to be believed, at least one unnamed company considered the requested amount too high and rejected Microsoft’s offer.
Games from Microsoft's internal studios have been regularly receiving adaptations recently. For example, Amazon is currently working on a series based on Fallout, while the aforementioned Paramount is preparing a film adaptation of Call of Duty. Therefore, such a deal aligns with Microsoft’s strategy, but how accurate Puck’s information is remains unclear.
Microsoft has not commented on the rumors.
