The European Games Developer Federation has revealed its board for the 2026-28 term, with Hendrik Lesser being re-elected as president

Hendrik Lesser has been chosen once again to lead the European Games Developer Federation (EGDF) as president, coinciding with the reveal of the organization's board for 2026 to 2028.
Departing from their roles are David Rabineau, CEO of Homo Ludens, and Gediminas Tarasevicius, studio director at No Brakes Games.
The current board members of the EGDF include:
- Martine Spaans, COO of Fourth Moon Games and general manager at the Dutch Games Association
- KooPee Hiltunen, director of Neogames Finland Association
- Per Strömbäck, board member of the Gaming Culture Foundation and member of the Stockholm Region Business Council
- Hrvoje Mitic, head of business development at GamesCo., secretary general of the Croatian Game Development Alliance, and founder of Splitscreen Croatia
- Jakub Marszalkowski, head of the Games Industry Conference and co-founder and board member of the Indie Games Poland Foundation
- Vanessa Kaplan, director general of the Syndicat National du Jeu Vidéo
The EGDF has outlined plans for the coming two years, focusing on elevating developers' position within the value chain and enhancing access to financial resources, skilled professionals, and development opportunities.
The organization stated its ongoing commitment to nurturing the European game industry's ecosystem, boosting collaborations with local game development studios, and amplifying the industry's global prominence. Additionally, they aim to become the leading AI-driven trade association in Europe, reflecting the game industry's advancement in AI tools and methodologies.
Recently, the EGDF, together with Video Games Europe (VGE), released the European Video Game Industry Insights Report for 2024. According to the report, the European gaming sector achieved a turnover of €24 billion in 2024, with more than 6,600 studios and a workforce exceeding 95,000 people.
