The Game Developer Association of India selects 15 studios for the inaugural Supernova cohort

The Game Developer Association of India (GDAI) recently introduced the inaugural group for its Supernova incubation initiative, choosing 15 game development studios out of over 260 candidates.
Initiated in July 2026, the Supernova program offers selected studios a three-month package that includes mentorship, industry credits, and networking opportunities with investors and publishers. This will culminate in a Demo Day at the upcoming India Game Developers Conference (IGDC).
Collaborating with Tencent, IVIPRO, SpielFabrique, Indus Appstore, Mintegral, and Lakshya Digital, the program ensures that participating studios receive benefits such as prioritized onboarding and advertising credits from Indus Appstore to boost user acquisition.
"This first cohort's selection ushers in a dedicated progress path for these 15 studios," commented Rajan Navani, a GDAI board member and chair of the Incubation Subcommittee. "Supernova is set to unite mentors, tech partners, publishers, and investors to focus on each studio's specific development and business goals over the next few months."
The studios chosen for this program include Absurd Games, Team Quasar, AbhiTech Games, Konkan Coast Studios, Dunali Games, Chitrakala Interactive, Ashdev Studios, Compiling Shaders, Brahman Studios, Yaari Games, Funwave Studio, Arcadon Games, Shivaansh Artvision, AnonVision Creative Labs, and Parkince.
GDAI, which represents more than 200 member studios, integrates Supernova into its broader strategy involving talent cultivation, international engagement, and policy support. The association aims to impact over 25,000 students across the country.
