MOUSE: P.I. for Hire
Below are the key points from PlaySide Studios' annual report.
- Over the year, PlaySide Studios earned $54.9 million, marking a 13% increase. This is the second largest revenue in PlaySide Studios' history, only surpassed two years ago when it reached $69 million.
- The EBITDA amounted to $15.5 million. The previous year, it was negative at minus $7.5 million.
- Revenue from original IPs surged by 108% to a record $34.7 million.
- Meanwhile, revenue from games developed in collaboration with other companies fell by 37% to $20.2 million.
- Released by PlaySide Studios in April 2026, MOUSE: P.I. for Hire became the most commercially successful original IP in the company's portfolio. By June 30, the game had sold 960,000 copies and generated $28 million in gross revenue. Important: commissions from stores, taxes, and royalties for developers from Fumi Games have not yet been deducted from this amount, so the net income for the publisher is significantly lower.
- As of today, after the reporting period ended, sales of MOUSE: P.I. for Hire have exceeded 1.1 million copies, with gross revenue reaching $30 million. 48% of game sales were for the PC version, while 52% were for the console version.
- PlaySide Studios secured exclusive publishing rights for the sequel to MOUSE: P.I. for Hire, slated for release in 2028.
- The strategy game Game of Thrones: War for Westeros has accumulated over 300,000 wishlist entries.
