Machine Party sold half a million copies in a week

Machine Party is a collection of brutal cooperative mini-games from Mike Klubnika, the creator of Buckshot Roulette. It was released on July 30, 2026, and had an excellent launch.

"Half a million copies sold is just an incredible number! Thank you for your support, kind words, and awesome game videos," wrote Klubnika in the Steam event feed for Machine Party.

In a separate press release, Klubnika, along with his co-author GDeavid and publisher Oro Interactive, added that Machine Party has gained significant popularity in China. It went viral on social media, catching the attention of streamers, and is now increasing sales through word-of-mouth.

It's worth noting that Machine Party is selling only slightly slower than Buckshot Roulette at launch. Back in the day, Buckshot Roulette took five days to reach 500,000 copies sold—just two days less than Machine Party. Whether the new game can maintain audience interest and replicate the predecessor's long-term success remains to be seen.

Currently, Machine Party holds a "very positive" rating on Steam. 92% of the 3,600 reviews have been positive. The peak concurrent player count for the project is 22,629 people, which is more than Buckshot Roulette ever had.

Machine Party is available to play exclusively on PC via Steam.
