The inception of Silver Bullet can be traced back to August, when it was founded as part of an incubator initiative, supporting indie creators with financial aid up to $100,000 and assistance in publishing, marketing, quality assurance, and game porting. Over time, Silver Bullet transformed into a comprehensive IP development division focused on bringing innovative and striking games to life.

Luke Keighran, the CEO, remarked that the constant exposure to diverse creative talents sparked internal innovation, eventually leading to the creation of "Mr Trippy." With the game's reveal, Silver Bullet positions itself as a significant entity in the indie gaming world, currently working on other unique projects to further carve its niche.

Silver Lining Interactive was established in early 2025 following the cessation of Merge Games the previous year. The founders, Luke and Joanne Keighran, purchased numerous assets from the closing publisher, paving the way for launching their own company. In a recent discussion, Luke Keighran emphasized their strategy of identifying market opportunities where they can establish a strong presence, stressing the importance of diversity in publishing. He noted the unpredictability of game success, where unexpected titles sometimes outperform anticipated hits.
