Betsson has completed the acquisition of a portion of Rhino Entertainment
Betsson has officially acquired the Canadian business of Rhino Entertainment along with a range of technological assets. The purchase cost a total of €64.5 million.
Upon closing the deal, Betsson paid €51.25 million to Rhino Entertainment, with the remainder to be paid in six months.
It was announced in March 2026, that Betsson planned to purchase part of Rhino Entertainment. Under the agreement, Betsson acquired licenses to operate in the Canadian market, operating systems, customer assets, as well as Rhino Entertainment's proprietary frontend and middleware solutions.
Betsson aims to leverage the acquisition to strengthen its position in the regulated iGaming market in Canada. Furthermore, it intends to use the acquired technologies to enter into licensed deals with third-party operators.
