Valve funded the porting of the RADV driver to Windows

RADV is an open-source graphics driver for AMD graphics cards, optimized for the Linux operating system. The company Collabora is currently attempting to make it suitable for Windows.
As reported by Collabora in their blog, the porting of the driver is still at a relatively early stage. Nevertheless, specialists have already managed to test the groundwork on the Windows version of Counter-Strike 2. The company did not specify why they chose this particular game for the experiment, though it's possible that sponsorship from Valve played a role.
Collabora noted that Valve sponsored only the initial phase of the work. It is unclear whether they will continue to fund further porting of the driver.
