The Amazon Luna cloud gaming platform has been integrated into Prime Video in both the United States and the United Kingdom

Amazon's Luna, a cloud gaming platform, is now accessible to Prime Video subscribers using Fire TV in the US and UK.

Luna is part of the Prime subscription, enabling users to access its game collection through the 'Games' tab on a television using either a controller or mobile device.

The service provides access to a game library of over 100 games, featuring titles such as "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle", "Hogwarts Legacy", and "EA Sports FC 26", contingent upon additional subscriptions like Ubisoft+ and connected digital storefront libraries.

Jeff Gattis, Amazon's general manager of gaming, remarked, "For a lot of people, games have been harder to find than they should be." He explained how integrating Luna into Prime Video streamlines game discovery for Prime members, allowing them to engage with games directly, resulting in reduced search time and increased play time.

Amazon Luna made its debut in the United States in early March 2022, with subsequent expansions to the UK, Germany, and Canada shortly after.

GamesIndustry.biz discussed these developments with Gattis, who illustrated that Luna's new integration aims to differentiate it from competitors by expanding gaming access beyond traditional console and PC users. "The world doesn't need another high-end gaming platform," he stated, noting the saturation in the market from providers like Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store, all vying for the same customer base.

Previously, Luna attempted to enter this competitive scene. However, Gattis acknowledged that they have shifted strategies, moving away from converting console and PC gamers to Luna. Instead, they are focusing on attracting gamers who do not own specific gaming hardware.
