Alpha Dog Games, the creators of Mighty DOOM, have been revived
Some game studios do manage to make a comeback from obscurity. It has been reported that the Canadian mobile group Alpha Dog Games, which ceased operations two years ago, is being revived.

Recall that Alpha Dog Games closed its doors in May 2024 during one of Microsoft's "clean-ups." It was disbanded simultaneously with Arkane Austin, Roundhouse Games, and Tango Gameworks — the latter, by the way, thanks to a deal with KRAFTON, also ultimately avoided complete closure.
The revival of Alpha Dog Games was noticed by enthusiast Timur222. He discovered that some time ago, the studio's founder Shawn Woods updated his profile on LinkedIn, indicating that Alpha Dog Games had resumed work but is now operating independently. Exactly when this happened is unclear. Based on the wording in Woods' resume and the studio's account, Alpha Dog Games may have reopened as early as May 2025, although until now, few had noticed.
Originally, Alpha Dog Games was launched in 2012. For a long time, the mobile studio operated independently, until it was acquired by Bethesda Game Studios in 2019, which in turn became part of Microsoft in 2021. The last game released by Alpha Dog Games was the mobile shooter Mighty DOOM.
