Polymarket has been blocked in another country
The prediction platform Polymarket is no longer available in Italy. The decision to block it was made by the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM).
It is reported that the ADM considers Polymarket as a gambling operator, and the platform lacks the necessary license. Without such a license, Polymarket's operations in the country are illegal.
Notably, this is not the first time Polymarket has been blocked in Italy. It was subject to a regional ban at the end of 2025, but access to the platform was soon restored following a court case. Local media do not rule out that the matter may again proceed to court.
Previously, full or partial restrictions have been imposed on Polymarket in the USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, Indonesia, Singapore, Brazil, India, Thailand, China, and several other countries.
