Entain confirmed rumors about the sale of part of its business

Recently, Reuters sources reported that the gambling holding Entain is considering selling its business in Central and Eastern Europe. A few days later, the company itself confirmed this information.

Entain announced that it has agreed to sell a 20% stake in Entain CEE to EMMA Capital. Under the terms of the deal, EMMA Capital will immediately pay €395 million and transfer an additional €30 million at the beginning of 2027, provided Entain CEE meets the required benchmarks. As a result, the total value of the deal could reach €425 million, which would value the entire Entain CEE at €2.1 billion.

Entain stated that the sale of the stake is intended to simplify the company's structure, enhance shareholder returns, and provide financial flexibility. The proceeds are planned to be used to reduce the debt burden.

The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
