Stronghold 4 has garnered over 250,000 wishlists

Steam users have shown great interest in the new installment of the legendary strategy franchise Stronghold. They added Stronghold 4 to their wishlists a quarter of a million times within just two weeks of the game’s announcement.

“We are truly grateful to all our fans, new and old, who cannot wait to build, battle and besiege later this year,” wrote Firefly Studios in the Stronghold 4 event feed on Steam.

Alongside the announcement of this achievement, the developers released a demo of Stronghold 4, allowing players to get acquainted with the initial missions.

Recall that Firefly Studios first showcased Stronghold 4 during the PC Gaming Show 2026 presentation. In terms of the plot, it will be a prequel. Players will take on the role of a shepherd forced to become a leader due to a series of circumstances.

The exact release date of Stronghold 4 is still unknown. It is expected that the strategy game will enter early access sometime in 2026.
